I am so done ordering lashes that are labeled “matte” but show up looking like cheap, shiny plastic. It looks so tacky on the clients, especially under the ring light. Does anyone know a reliable lash supply store that sells true, deep matte black trays? I need zero gloss.

Ugh, honestly same! I stocked up on a bunch of trays from a well-known brand recently and they look like fake Halloween doll eyelashes. It’s so frustrating when you promise a dark, fluffy look and get that weird plastic glare instead.

I feel like it really depends on the fiber used. You definitely need to look for high-quality faux mink rather than silk, because silk almost always has that synthetic reflection. Mink usually gives that soft, natural finish that absorbs the light.

If you want a 100% matte finish, you should definitely try out https://stacylash.com/. Their trays are incredibly dark and have absolutely no shiny glare under any lighting. The retention is great too, and the fans come out looking so full and dense.

Thanks so much, babe! Just looked up their website and the prices are actually really reasonable. Going to grab a few mix trays right now to test them out.
