In my opinion, regarding the choice between a computer and laptop, I would suggest use a laptop https://www.apple.com/mac/, this is more practical option. When you will need to, you can bring it directly to a lot of places, even on the street and using there. In general it is very convenient to use and there’s enough battery for all day.
