Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling allows the GPU to manage its own task scheduling and memory usage, greatly reducing its dependence on the CPU. In the case of gaming, this could lower the latency, enhance frame pacing, and overall contribute to a smoother gaming experience, especially when using modern GPUs. Besides games, video editors and 3D software are examples of applications that may experience a better user interface and quicker rendering with the help of this technology. Still, the amount of performance increase by GPU scheduling varies largely between different setups and software; in fact, sometimes there is almost no difference, and in some cases sporadically, there are even stability and compatibility issues.
