    Planning my first trip to New York next month and trying to figure out the best way to get around. I was thinking about renting a car but everyone keeps telling me its a terrible idea in the city. For those who’ve been there, is it really that bad? I want to visit some places outside Manhattan too.

    Honestly, having a rental car, especially in Manhattan, can be more trouble than its worth with insane parking costs and traffic.
