Make the Most of Helltides: The Key to Fast XP
Helltide events in Diablo 4 are among the best sources of experience and loot during the leveling process. They occur periodically and are marked by a red overlay on the map Diablo 4 Items.
While in a Helltide zone, players can farm enemies for XP and collect Aberrant Cinders. These cinders are used to open special chests — Tortured Gifts — which often contain rare gear and crafting materials.
Maximizing your time in Helltides means constantly moving, killing, and avoiding death. The more enemies you slay, the higher your Threat Meter rises. Max it out, and you’ll trigger elite demon waves and minibosses — excellent XP fodder.
Use Elixirs before entering these zones. Not only do they give combat buffs, but they also provide a 5% XP bonus — which adds up quickly during a Helltide session.
Each class has reliable leveling builds. For example, the Whirlwind Barbarian and the Twisting Blades Rogue are fan favorites for early-game efficiency. But keep an eye on patch notes — buffs and nerfs can shake up the meta each season.
Also, consider ease of use. A simple, powerful build can outperform a complex, gear-intensive one when you’re racing to level 50 or 100.
Many community resources keep build tier lists updated for every season. Checking these before jumping in can save you hours of trial and error.
You should save cinders for armor or weapon chests to ensure gear upgrades. Don’t hoard — spend them during the same session, as you’ll lose cinders upon death.
Helltides are chaotic but efficient. Learn their rhythm, and you’ll power-level in no time buy Diablo 4 gold.
