I am a practicing photographer and have recently seen some very beautiful photos of the starry sky. I would like to take some photos of the Milky Way, can you tell me when the conditions are ideal and the Milky Way is best visible? Does the phase of the moon affect this and where can I find a calendar with today’s moon phase?

The first thing you have to take into account is the weather, I think you understand that. Next, it is advisable not to be in the city, because in the city there is a lot of light and the stars are less visible. In general, since school I like to look at the starry sky and I check what phase of the moon it is here https://timesles.com/en/calendar/moon/phases/days/today/ . It’s better to take pictures when the moon is new because there’s less light and the stars are brighter. Where can I see your work? Do you photograph people or just nature?
