So I’m finally in a position to buy another car after my last disaster and I swear I’m going about it completely differently this time. A couple of years ago I bought a really nice looking Mercedes C300 from a small dealer in Ras Al Khor, the car looked immaculate and the guy was so smooth talking I just handed over the cash and drove off feeling like I’d scored a great deal. Fast forward three months and the AC started blowing warm air, then the transmission started jerking, and when I finally took it to a proper garage they showed me the whole front end had been poorly repaired and the radiator was basically being held in place with zip ties. I was so embarrassed I didn’t even want to drive the thing after that. Now I’m looking at a Lexus IS350 that seems clean but I’m not trusting anything until I get someone who actually knows cars to give it a proper look underneath. I’ve already got prepurchasecarinspection.ae saved on my phone and I’m planning to book them before I even make an offer because I’d rather pay a few hundred now than be stuck with another nightmare that drains my savings. Lesson learned the hard way I guess, but at least I know better now.
