    Yes, Istanbul is generally safe for tourists, but as with any major city, there are some precautions to take. The tourist areas like Sultanahmet, Taksim, and Kadıköy are well-patrolled and safe, even at night. However, pickpocketing can be an issue in crowded areas like the Grand Bazaar or Istiklal Street. It was a great resource, and I felt much more prepared and confident while exploring the city.
