I’ve recently been researching how different countries manage digital identity verification systems, and Chile’s national identification structure caught my attention. The Chilean RUT number seems to play a major role in taxation, banking, employment, and public services, which makes it an interesting example of how centralized ID systems operate in modern digital environments.

What I found especially useful is how a Chilean RUT lookup system can help verify publicly available business or taxpayer information while improving transparency and reducing data-entry mistakes. Many countries are moving toward similar verification methods for online services, so it’s interesting to compare how these systems evolve internationally.

Has anyone here worked with international identity verification tools or government-linked lookup systems before? I’d be interested in hearing how similar systems function in other regions and what challenges they face regarding privacy, accuracy, and accessibility.
