Accidentally typed the Jeep service URL with a colon and no slashes, did I dodge a phishing link?
My mate forwarded me a booking page for his mechanic in Mussafah but it came through as https:jeepservicemussafah.ae with just a colon and no double slash, which I’ve never seen before and honestly my browser refused to load it unless I manually retyped the proper address, I’m not the most tech savvy but it looked suspicious enough that I paused, and now I’m wondering if shoddy URL formatting like that is just a harmless typo from whoever built their referral link or if it’s a sign I almost walked into some fake booking site that harvests phone numbers and emails, has anyone else seen the site shared that way or should I just dial the garage directly and pretend the internet doesn’t exist.
