The latest Warbond has stirred up plenty of discussion, and after spending a good chunk of time testing its weapons and gear across different missions, I think it’s finally clear where each piece stands. Instead of just repeating stats from the video, this article focuses on how these tools feel in real missions, what they’re actually good for, and which players can get the most value out of them.
From chainsaws to flying flamethrowers, this Warbond definitely leans into a more aggressive playstyle. Let’s go through the highlights one by one.
The CQC-9 Defoliation Tool: Surprisingly Strong for a Chainsaw
Even if you’ve been playing the game for months, the chainsaw is one of those weapons that will still catch you off guard the first time you realize what it can actually do. It isn’t just a melee weapon with a funny animation. When it makes contact with the ground, structures, or enemies, it switches into a full damage-scaling state that ramps from medium penetration all the way to heavy, and sometimes even behaves as if it were anti-tank.
The crazy part is that you can damage tanks from the side or even take down factory striders by sawing from the top of their head. Whether this is a hitbox quirk or intended design almost doesn’t matter—the important thing is that it works.
What really makes the chainsaw shine is its ability to stun enemies. Hunters, warriors, bile spewers, commanders, even hulks—once the saw scales up, they all get locked down long enough for you to finish the job. Just remember that it’s a two-handed weapon, so you can’t run a shield at the same time. For anyone wanting fast progression, this is also a good moment to mention that some players choose to buy helldivers 2 medals when they want to unlock melee-focused loadouts earlier, though playing normally works perfectly fine too.
One more tip: if you’re using hover pack, the chainsaw works mid-air, letting you shred joints on harvesters faster than with most guns. Just be mindful of the long animation when putting it away—if you need to stim immediately after diving, that extra second can absolutely get you killed.
DBS-2 Double Freedom: The Fun Shotgun That Actually Performs
The Double Freedom is as entertaining as it looks. With high damage, medium penetration, and the option to fire both shells at once, it turns close-range fights into a satisfying mess of broken armor plates and flying limbs.
Against the bugs, it deletes harvesters and bile titans faster than most primaries. Against bots, it’s strong enough to one-shot Alpha Commanders from well beyond what you’d normally consider shotgun range. It’s not part of the Warbond, but it pairs extremely well with the other items offered here, especially if you’re leaning into an aggressive frontline loadout.
The Hot Dog Guard Dog: A Flying Flamethrower That Does More Than Expected
The flamethrower variant of the guard dog might honestly be the star of the Warbond. Because it counts as a support weapon, it benefits from the ship module that boosts fire damage, letting it shred big enemies like chargers, behemoths, hulks, and even tanks faster than most people expect.
What sets it apart is how it behaves during patrols or small engagements. The drone grabs aggro before you do, melts everything in sight, and only after returning to your backpack do surviving enemies even realize you’re there. You can even use it from behind cover and let it clear out entire small outposts on its own.
Fuel efficiency isn’t perfect—it tends to keep burning an enemy until they drop instead of moving on—but the raw damage output more than makes up for it.
AR-23A1 “One-Two”: A Solid Rifle Held Back by Limited Customization
The One-Two AR comes with a built-in grenade launcher, and in practice, that’s its defining feature. The rifle itself is accurate and flexible, but what makes it valuable is the freedom it gives your overall kit. Being able to close nests and fabricators without sacrificing a stratagem slot is genuinely useful.
That said, ammo feels a little tight, and the lack of meaningful customization—only scopes and muzzles—limits how much you can tailor it to your preferred style. Some players might also find it a bit basic if they’re used to more specialized weapons.
If you’re experimenting with early-game builds or trying to speed up unlocks, you may have seen discussions online about cheap helldivers 2 medals from third-party sources like U4GM. Whether you ever consider that route or not, the point is that this rifle fits well into fast-unlock playstyles because it covers so many utility gaps without forcing you to change your loadout.
The M1000 “Maxigun”: A Minigun That Needs More Than Just Style
The idea of a handheld minigun has always been exciting, but in practice, the Maxigun still feels like it needs more tuning. The wind-up animation is long, you can’t move while firing, and you can’t even dive properly—your character just belly-flops. Combined with heavy visual clutter and recoil, it’s harder to use than it should be.
Damage is also low relative to the commitment required. A full barrage still takes far too long to kill armored targets, and since you can’t reposition, you risk taking fatal hits while stuck firing.
It does have one cool upside: it never needs a traditional reload. If someone is supplying you with ammo via backpack, you can fire almost indefinitely. But even that doesn’t fully offset the drawbacks. As it stands, this weapon is more of a novelty than a practical choice for harder missions.
Armor Passives: Rock Solid Has More Uses Than You Expect
The Beast of Prey and Constrictor armors come with a passive that boosts melee damage and gives resistance to being knocked prone. It won’t save you from tank blasts or strider explosions, but it does stop a lot of annoying stagger sources—bile spewer mortars, light bot rockets, even the random debris on crimson maps.
A fun trick is pairing this passive with a directional shield. Because you won’t get knocked over by small rockets, you can push into bot lines much more aggressively, maintaining control of space without losing positioning to random knockdowns. It’s one of those perks that doesn’t sound exciting on paper but feels great once you build around it.
Overall, the Python Commando Warbond introduces tools that reward aggression and close-quarters play. The chainsaw and Hot Dog drone stand out as the most practical additions, while the minigun still feels like it needs some love from the developers. If you enjoy high-risk frontline combat or clearing out dense bug swarms, this Warbond delivers plenty of fun options to experiment with.

March 8, 2026 at 6:22 pm #182721Olá a todos desta comunidade!
